Boat traffic on the Indian River is light this morning. The fish and sea creatures have the water all to themselves, almost.
Flying a kite in such a calm air might be a mostly futile pursuit. But the sunlight is barely subdued by this thin cloud cover.
Today could be a near perfect day to venture across the causeway and visit the Indialantic Beach boardwalk and beach; but I have things to do today closer to home.

This blog has matured into a happenstance journal that might convey to its reader a minimalist word sketch of my passage through these senior days of leisure and pleasure,
and all too frequent moments of boredom and idle frustrations caused by too much sedentary armchair travel
and by not enough travel of the real and physical kind; perhaps one day I shall again travel.

I consider myself blessed and gifted with these simple pleasures of life, living, habits, habitation. I live most of each day as I believe a hermit, a recluse, might;
though, I at least make one elevator excursion to the lobby, to check my USPS mail and to say hello to whoever might be in the lobby or thereabouts.
Most every day is lived by a sequence of suddenly overwhelming sleepy naps and intermittent wakeful episodes of varying duration,
varying clarity, and varying lucidness and significance.

A brief nap is such a simple pleasure, don't ya know.
