The last truck I drove, November 12, 2008

I took the following photos a few minutes before I returned the tractor and trailer to the company
and resigned. The tractor is a Kenworth T-600, 2006/7 model, with a 475-hp CAT engine, and Eaton-Fuller
13-speed manual transmission. I really enjoyed driving this truck . . . after the sharp learning curve
on shifting gears (up shifting and down shifting). The company provided 'XM Radio' and I rarely listened
to any of the stations . . . preferring the sounds of the truck and road. One nice feature this truck had
that my previous trucks did not . . .is a 'bunk heater' that operates independently of the truck engine
(eg: a small diesel-fueled heater attached to the rear under-carriage of the tractor). The heater really
kept me warm.
