Happy Holidays..!
I sincerely wish for you the very best this holiday season..!
The above photo was made a few months ago as part of a photo study, of sorts.
The idea or purpose of the study was to... "capture the essence of who I am:"
'...a mystic, of sorts; prayerful; meditative; reflective; God seeker;
spiritual...'
All of that "stuff" are mostly subconscious activities... though, a major facet or aspect of my personality.
Frequently, I humble
myself upon meditation chair, and consciously strike the above pose... or,
write... scribble notes... poetry... whatever.
I find this posture relaxing
and enjoyable... a way of sitting, working, being... a habit formed ages ago...
metaphysically speaking, in a time before now.
It is unfortunate that most of my
relatives will not understand that last phrase... "a time before now"... because,
perhaps like most people, they are so very heavily invested within their
tightly-focused concept of reality and life... that it is unlikely they will ever view
life, their life, as a continuum of being which did not begin with their birth...
nor, will end with the death of their physical body... and I do not refer to the
currently popular Christian concept of "eternal life in heaven or wherever" ...although
that may indeed be everyone's eventual reality ...who may know for sure.
But my intention for this particular piece of writing is not a blurb about philosophy,
reality, God or anything else, in particular... although I offer this:
there is safety, security and sanity in subscribing to René Descartes' "Cogito ergo sum" -
"I think, therefore I am." As a suggestion, perhaps you might investigate the interplay,
the relationships among: Cosmic ( spiritual ) energy, thought, word, action, reality. If you
do so, may your research results provide comfort and peace... and, perhaps suggest a
possible origin for us all; and, for everything...
My intention or purpose for this 'scribbling'..? Simply to recapitulate and share a
few snippets, vignettes, of my life during the previous twelve months.
A bit of healthy and flavorful frivolity, as denoted by this photograph... a version of
my favorite breakfast food: whole-wheat bread, toasted then buttered, covered with crunchy
peanut butter, and topped with a layer of fresh blueberry compote ( sweetened with a bit of
powdered
Stevia ). Not shown: a small
glass of fresh Florida orange juice ( with pulp ) and a tall glass of distilled water.
I very much enjoy all aspects of this simple food; especially, its taste, texture,
appearance and nutritional properties... lots of
anti-oxidants in blueberries, vital
nutrients in whole-wheat bread, good "stuff" in
crunchy peanut butter, a bit of
creamy butter spread, a six-ounce glass of
fresh orange juice, and a tall glass of
distilled water.
For your own good health, I strongly recommend and encourage you to heed the information in the web page article
referenced by the 'distilled water' link above... your body will thank you..!
As for the rest of my meals, in general, I subscribe to a
Mediterranean diet... with deviations for continued healthy favorites, such as
collard greens,
baked sweet potatoes,
dark chocolate,
walnuts,
and a daily glass of ( with mid-day meal )
Merlot wine ( four-to-six ounces )...
and, of course,
baked barbecue pork spare ribs once or twice a month. In general, my diet now consists of more
fruits, nuts and vegetables... and, much less meat. I love fish...!
I believe that most Americans, perhaps everyone, needs to take daily vitamins and nutritional supplements,
because most people do not consistently intake the vitamins and nutrients their body needs.
What perhaps
may be news and a surprise to you... is that a significant number of medical doctors are not sufficiently trained in matters of
nutrition and nutritional health - ref:
Status of nutrition education in medical schools.
I share with you my personal regimen of daily intake of vitamins and nutritional supplements - a regimen
thirty-plus years in the making. With the exception of the aspirin, I purchase all of my vitamins and
nutritional supplements from the Puritan's Pride
website. The list of vitamins and nutritional supplements is not a recommendation or a suggested regimen for
you or for anyone else; rather, I provide the list of "what works for me" supplements as "information only".
In the following list, the daily dose is given after the vitamin / nutrient name.
- L-Arginine / 500 mg
- Vitamin D3 / 1000 IU
- HerbaVision with LutiGold / one
- Selenium / 200 mg
- Garlic Oil / 5000 mg
- Omega-3 Fish Oil / 1200 mg
- Aspirin / 325 mg
- Glucosamine - Chondroitin - MSM / 1500-mg - 1000-mg - 500-mg
- Chelated Zinc / 50 mg
- Vitamin C / 1000 mg
- Saw Palmetto / 1000 mg
- FlaxSeed Oil / 1200 mg
- CO Q-10 / 200 mg
- Ultra Vita Man ( multi-vitamin ) / one
- SOD / 250 mg
- Vitamin E ( natural ) / 1200 mg
- Vitamin B Complex with B-12 / one
Unless deterred by unforeseen events, I will resume a "Telomerase therapy" regime in a few weeks.
Ref: T.A. Science's TA-65 testimonials.
Basic information about telomere is here.
As far as diet and nutrition are concerned, I'm trying my best to stay healthy... and most of the time I
cannot rely upon t.v. commercials, mass-market media and websites - even official government information...
to assist me with my assimilation of relevant and accurate information... because I firmly believe that
the majority of the medical-pharmaceutical-industrial complex are self-serving purveyors of information and
drugs which may or may not be efficacious and beneficial to patients... but, which are guaranteed to increase
the revenues and profitability of the members of that consortium.
My approach to all of this is to subscribe to
several email newsletters from independent medical and nutrition research laboratories and non-profit organizations
whose primary objectives focus upon accurate, relevant, unbiased facts... then, I cross-reference research topics
to filter out ambiguous and questionable research... finally, I decide which of the research and its consumer product(s)
will benefit me... this is my "due diligence approach" to diet, vitamins and nutritional supplements. I also try to
ensure that I do not "over-dose" myself with either one or all of the vitamins and supplements.

Read It Now..!
software facility for my electronic books at the OTR Publications website.
- Creation of a new Merchandise Outlet at Amazon.com -
OTR Publications Merchandise @ Amazon.com.
The above items 5 through 10 are on-going projects, with additional e-books, photos and merchandise "in the works".
I moved to a nearby city in Florida, into a very nice one-bedroom office-apartment.
I think it's time to stop writing. There are several other news bytes and info tid-bits I could share
with you; but, the above might be sufficient for you to determine that... even though I might be
officially "retired"... I continue to work and to pursue my dreams.
Happy Holidays...!
BTW: I recently established myself as a patient with a local dentist and with a local Primary Care physician. After first
visits and examinations at each care giver, I can happily announce that my teeth are in very good
condition, and that my body is also in very good condition...! As far as my mind, spirit and soul are
concerned... well, I think that my accomplishments and lifestyle proclaim a very active, industrious and healthy mind...
and, regarding my spirit and soul... well, that is a joint-venture project between God | Goddess | Divinity and myself,
and I may only hope that I am doing well . . . by THEIR standards, not my own.
