Thoughts about the books I have written. Perhaps all of this is vanity, my attempt to give posterity a glimpse of my life experience. My desire to develop a revenue stream which would increase my personal freedom, mobility and opportunities. One day I will sit in a rocking chair with my books beside me on a small table within easy reach, so that I might look, remember, reflect, enjoy that which is now beyond my physical ability to experience first hand. If I make it that far.... I published the books so that your table and rocking chair 'time' might include my books. Most people will never travel to the places I have lived and photographed. My books will allow them to see what I have seen. Maybe all of this is unimportant. Those people must decide. And there are so many places, things, people . . . yet to be experienced, discovered, treasured. The people I should have been closest to, and vice versa, might look into my books and see a glimpse of the person they never knew. It was a series of learning experiences . . . the research, choices and decisions, the mastery of various software, the refinement of a work plan and production system. Just another mile marker along my path.... |
